A Picture Perfect Approach To House Removals

Since 1965, the aim at Hanlon Bros Removals and Storage has been to assist customers with house removals. Our end-to-end house removals service sees us taking care of everything you need, including packing!

Packing is a critical aspect of every single move, ensuring your items are packed correctly and prepared for a house move is key to a smooth house move. Fragile items as you might expect are the most vulnerable objects in play here. It is important to pay extra attention whilst handling and packing them up.

In order to avoid making the same mistakes that countless others have, here are our tips for packing up for a house removal.

Lamps
With lamps, it’s best to box up the shade separately from the main body in a flat side down manner and with plenty of paper. If it proves necessary, your lamp base can be put inside a sizeable box and be wrapped up with bubble wrap.

Pictures and Frames
For all of your pictures and frames, the frames should ideally be placed into paper-lined medium and small sized boxes. If they exceed 8 inches in length, then place them standing up with crumpled paper in between. Wrap up the frames with packing paper and put additional layers onto the top frames to prevent things from moving in the box.

At Hanlon Bros, we handle your belongings, fragile or otherwise, with the upmost care whenever we are on the job. To speed up the process, we utilise a number of specialist tools, including the likes of hanging wardrobe cartons, which permit us to pack your clothes up without even folding them.
